Dayton Silver Beauty — ReBoot

The Black Beauty was originally commissioned in 1961 by Charles "Chunky" Woodward for himself and his ranch hands — a western boot with outside seams, built so neither rider nor horse would chafe on long rides. It got banned in bars across BC. It became a Dayton icon.

In 1987, to mark the 25th anniversary of the Beauty, we made a small run in silver-grey leather. Same build, same last. Silver-grey leather instead of black. This pair is from that run.

Specs

  • Silver-grey full-grain leather upper
  • Western last
  • Outside seam construction
  • Pull tabs
  • Goodyear welt construction
  • Steel shank arch support
  • Full leather lining, insole and midsole

Sizing note Dayton uses UK sizing — typically one full size down from your North American men's size, or 2.5 sizes down for women.

Wohlford & Co footwear is based on UK men’s sizing. This typically means one full size down from your standard North American men’s sneaker size and two and a half sizes for women. For example, a men’s NA 8.5 would be a Wohlford 7.5, and a women’s NA 8.5 would be a Wolhford 6. Please refer to the sizing chart.

If widths options are available, pick a narrow width if you have a narrow foot or want a snugger fit.  Or, pick a wider width if you know you have a high instep, wider foot, or want a little more room.
