As such, Wohlford & Company Inc. (“Wohlford”) has taken over operations of the historic Dayton Boot factory in east vancouver.  We are also operating the factory showroom and the e-commerce website. Www.daytonboots.com and www.wohlford.ca .  The new ownership group includes Ray Wohlford who left in 2000.  He is the 3rd generation of the Wohlford family stewarding the famous Dayton Boot brand.

Unfortunately, as a consequence of the Dayton Boots Company Ltd.’s legal troubles, the Dayton Boots’ trademark ownership is in dispute.  Although, Wohlford claims ownership of the brand, we are unable use and market the name freely.  We continue to pursue remedies and hope to ultimately prevail in recovering the Dayton Boots brand.

In the meantime, our decision to rebrand reflects a strategic shift aimed at rejuvenating our image, expanding our market reach, and achieving a modern appeal.  We felt honouring the founders’ family name is a fitting tribute.

Wohlford renews the company’s commitment to producing the best quality leather footwear.  We aspire to uphold a timeless tradition of manufacturing excellence, while embracing innovation in an ever-changing fashion landscape.

Please come and visit us at our factory in East Vancouver.
