Boot Restoration
Boots are meant to be worn hard. Good boots are meant to be repaired — and Dayton boots are built for the long haul. No matter how many miles they've seen. When they need some work, bring them in.
We restore original Dayton boots, and we handle everything from a re-heel to a full rebuild — re-welting, re-soling, toe caps, sole upgrades, leather repair, and more. All done by our bootmakers.
Not local? You can ship your boots to us. Send photos first so we can take a look and let you know what's needed. Once we have them in hand, we may find that additional or different work is required — we'll always check with you before proceeding. Shipping's on you, both ways.
Drop them off or send them in. We'll take it from there.
A note on repairs
Don't leave it too long. A heel worn halfway through the rubber is the right time to bring them in — not after. Soles are the same story. Catching it early keeps it simple.
A note on care
Clean and condition your boots regularly — mud, dirt, dust, and concrete or drywall dust will dry out the leather and deteriorate stitches and seals over time. Never dry them with direct heat, let them air out. Use a boot jack to remove them; pushing the heel down will separate the upper from the sole.
A note on warranty
Dayton boots come with a limited lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. Manufacturing defects usually show up early and they're hard to miss — if something isn't right with how your boots were made, we'll take care of it.
What's covered: manufacturing defects in leather, stitching, and materials. We re-stitch where needed, and we clean, condition, and polish on every repair. We know our work, and when something's on us, we own it.
What's not covered: general wear and tear, soles, and heels. Think of those like brake pads and tyres on a car — they're consumables, not defects. Leather damage caused by heat drying or lack of conditioning is also not covered, nor is damage from using products other than Dayton's OK Oil.
The warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original owner only. Any work that is not performed or authorized by Dayton Boots voids the warranty.
